Learn Lean and become a Lean Associate
- Receive training conducted by UTC's Operations Transformation Leaders (OTLs).
- Learn the concepts of Lean Manufacturing, as well as Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE), which is UTC's operating system.
- Learn about Value Stream Mapping and how to guide UTC manufacturing operations as well as those of suppliers toward improving cost, quality, and delivery.
- Participate in Value Stream Mapping and kaizen events at supplier locations.
- Obtain Lean Associate certification.
Gain valuable exposure to UTC business leaders.
- Participate in high-level strategy meetings.
- Receive coaching and mentoring from key executives in UTC's business units.
Travel and gain international business experience
UTC is a global business with operations and locations on every continent. More than 65 percent of our 220,000 employees are based outside the United States. Previous OLP associates have traveled for assignments to Mexico, South America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia/Pacific. While actual assignments will be based on your background, expertise, experience and other factors, opportunities for international experience abound.
