IT Leadership Program : Teams

A key aspect of your rotational experience within the Information Technology Leadership Program is to participate as a member of one of three program enhancement teams - Communications, Rotations or Technology. You will work with your peers, as well as with experienced UTC professionals, with a deep IT background. Your project team experience will provide you an excellent opportunity to hone your leadership, analytical, and teamwork skills. Plus, the work of your teams can go a long way in improving the ITLP program and make a contribution to overall UTC IT excellence.

Communications Team

This team develops and maintains programs designed to communicate the goals, opportunities, benefits, structure and content of the IT Leadership Program to internal and external audiences, including potential recruits and the colleges and universities where they are studying. Tasks include:

  • Maintaining the program's internal and external web sites.
  • Developing and coordinating recruiting efforts.
  • Planning volunteer and social activities.

Rotation Team

This team helps create standard work to enable the seamless transition of ITLP Associates from one job rotation to the next. Tasks include:

  • Gathering and analyzing feedback from ITLP Associates and managers.
  • Identifying best practices and creating standard work to addressing issues in rotations
  • Implementing the best practices and standard work.
  • Scheduling the transition.

Technology Team

This team is responsible for updating and maintaining technology efforts both internal and external. Tasks include:

  • Ongoing technology best practices.
  • Portal administrators.
  • Website development tools.

Training and Development Team

This team is responsible for developing training relative to business unit needs in addition to the ACE core competencies. The team provides associates with the knowledge and tools they need to excel in their assignments. Tasks include:

  • Development of training curriculum.
  • Training tracking.
  • Identifying core competencies relevant to each business unit and scheduling necessary training.
