IT Leadership Program: Overview

UTC offers the Information Technology Leadership Program (ITLP) for recent college graduates. This program is designed to give new employees a broad view of the company, a diversified work experience and exposure to UTC management. Leadership Program associates rotate through multiple UTC business units over a 27-month period consisting of three nine-month rotations.

What we're looking for
We're seeking talented, highly motivated people who collectively bring a broad range of business skills, talents, experience and expertise, including:

  • Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field
  • Strong academic record
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Ability to work in a team


What you will do
  • Spend the next twenty seven months – divided into three nine-month rotations – honing your IT and leadership skills by learning about and working in key functional areas of Information Technology, including: Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Application Development, Infrastructure, IT Security and e-Business, to name a few.
  • Work at three of UTC's seven dynamic global business unites: Carrier, Hamilton Sundstrand, Pratt & Whitney, Sikorsky Aircraft, UTC Fire & Security, or UTC Power – as well as UTC's Corporate Headquarters.
  • Work with fellow ITLP associates and IT leaders on program enhancement teams in such disclosures as best practices, communications and rotation teams.
