The United Technologies Financial Leadership Program (FLP) is one of today's foremost development programs. During a two-year period, financial associates are exposed to each of the four functional areas in corporate finance:

  • Accounting
  • Finance
  • Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Financial Operations

As a finance associate, the opportunity is given to work at a number of the seven business units of United Technologies, as well as at Corporate Headquarters:

  • Carrier
  • Hamilton Sundstrand
  • Otis
  • Pratt & Whitney
  • Sikorsky
  • UTC Fire & Security
  • UTC Power

Spending six months at each of four different rotations broadens finance and accounting skills, establishes a network of professional contacts, and helps to gain in-depth knowledge about UTC's products.

Associates also benefit from the corporation's national and global presence by filling positions within the United States and around the world. Current rotations exist within Connecticut, Arizona, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Texas, Tennessee, Canada, Singapore and England.

To enhance experience and develop business acumen, associates attend two FLP training conferences each year. In addition, each associate contributes to one or more of the FLP's project teams, including: Best Practices, Recruiting, Activities, Web Design, and Career Development.

United Technologies is a dynamic company that offers a rewarding environment for its potential leaders to grow. The FLP seeks highly motivated individuals with bachelor's degrees in accounting or finance. Candidates must also demonstrate leadership ability and possess strong analytical and communication skills.
